| Abstract | This paper explored the utilization of mobile devices for instructional delivery at Mindano State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) by developing a mobile learning application called My.Aral. The core components of the system are web-based and SMS-based applications. The system allows sending and receiving messages, taking of quizzes, replying to forum posts and viewing quiz results. Kooleâs Frame Model was used for the design of mobile learning platform. The system follows the 3-tier architecture for the web-based interface implemented using CodeIgniter and jQuery Mobile Frameworks, and Gnokii Daemon for implementing SMS server. Majority of the respondents in the usability testing âStrongy Agreeâ on the effectiveness of the implemented of the system. |
